DEPARTAMENTO DE CIENCIAS MATEMÁTICAS Y FÍSICA
Mi trayectoria comienza el año 1993 como profesor instructor del Departamento de Matemáticas de la Universidad Católica de Temuco, impartiendo clases en cursos de pregrado de cálculo, algebra y ecuaciones diferenciales y también en posgrado en asignaturas como algebra abstracta, matemáticas discretas, ecuaciones diferenciales ordinarias y parciales y calculo avanzado.
Realicé el magister y doctorado en ciencias exactas mención matemática en la Facultad de Matemáticas de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Mi tesis doctoral estuvo circunscrita al área de las ecuaciones diferenciales parciales, problemas no-lineales.
Mi trabajo de investigación en los últimos años ha estado dedicada al desarrollo de la teoría de distribuciones generando colaboraciones con profesores de la universidad de Atacama y de Antofagasta preferentemente. Además de trabajar en la teoría geométrica de funciones en colaboración con profesores de la Universidad Adolfo Ibañez. Existen colaboraciones con académicos de universidades en Brasil, Colombia y España.
En cuanto a actividades académicas de gestión me he desempeñado como director del Departamento de Ciencias Matemáticas y Físicas, Vicedecano de la Facultad de Ingeniería y actualmente Decano de la Facultad; adicionalmente por dos años fui representante de los académicos ante el Honorable Consejo Superior de la Universidad Católica de Temuco.
